SNA是以圖形（網路）的模式來分析人與人、或是群體與群體之間的關係。本門課程從計算的觀點去了解社會網路分析（Social network analysis, SNA）並且探討在從事SNA時所遭遇的計算問題。
課程內容包含SNA的簡介、SNA現有軟體的使用、與SNA相關的計算方法、以及目前SNA在計算上的問題。
授課方式：講授、報告與討論
修本課程需要有程式與資料結構的基礎，不需要其他社會科學的先修課。跟其他學習一樣，積極主動與好奇心是最重要的。
Grading： 課程參與(20%)、作業與報告 (80%)。課程中將包含下列作業：
1. A report about SNA software (Pajek or Ucinet)
2. A programming exercise （別擔心，不會太難地，依個人程度發揮，可以很簡單；也可以很有挑戰性）
3. Reading articles about SNA（依修課同學的程度狀況與人數安排）
