Damon Shing-Min Liu is a Full Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Chung Cheng University. 〔國立中正大學• 資訊工程學系• 教授〕 Previously in the San Francisco Bay Area, 〔美國• 舊金山灣區• 聖荷西 (San Jose)• 矽谷 (Silicon Valley)〕 he worked at 〔職稱：資深系統分析軟體工程師〕
  Litton Industries, TRW Inc, (subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corp of Los Angeles) 〔各家均為全球前500強國防、航太、資訊高科技公司。 個人實際參與執行專案計畫的企業客戶群包括： Depository Trust Company 美國中央證券存管信託公司、 Reserve Bank of Australia 澳大利亞國家中央儲備銀行、 Merrill Lynch 美林證券 (紐約曼哈頓•美國總公司)、 Fidelity Investments 富達投顧 (波士頓•世界總部)、 Federal Express (FedEx) 聯邦快遞 (田納西州孟菲斯市•全球總營運中心)。〕 and
  the prestigious Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). 〔美國史丹福 (Stanford) 大學旁、 全錄 (Xerox) 公司的研究中心， 是電腦產業相當重要的技術發源地， 圖形介面 (GUI) 與物件導向程式語言 (OOPL) 等觀念都來自於此。 個人實際參與和加州柏克萊大學電機工程與電腦科學系 (UC Berkeley EECS) 合作的數位圖書館計畫 (Digital Library Project)， 該項計畫的研究經費是由美國國家科學基金會 (NSF)、 太空總署 (NASA)、 與國防部尖端研究計畫總署 (DARPA) 所共同提供支持。〕

His research interests include machine learning,〔機器學習〕 human-AI interaction,〔人類 AI 互動〕 computer graphics,〔電腦繪圖〕 computer vision,〔電腦視覺〕 metaverse,〔元宇宙〕 computational photography.〔計算攝影學。〕

He received his BSc in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, 〔國立台灣大學• 電機工程學系學士〕 his MSc in Computer Science from Brown University, 〔美國東岸常春藤盟校、 布朗大學• 電腦系碩士〕 and his PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). 〔美國加州大學• 洛杉磯分校• 電腦系博士〕 He is a member of the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society. 〔美國計算機協會、 電機電子工程師學會•電腦學分會• 會員。〕

其他學經歷 ： 私立衛道中學初中部 〔連續三年贏得英語演講比賽冠軍，並遴選為當屆全體畢業生致答辭代表殊榮〕； 國立台中一中 〔以最優等金質校長獎牌，學業總成績全校第八名畢業〕； 台大電機系學會學術部長、 大四畢業班代表； 陸軍黃埔軍官學校電機工程學系教官 〔榮膺軍團級唯一卓越楷模，由總司令親自頒授陸軍獎狀表揚〕； 連任多屆美國南加州台大校友會理事。
